Store

The storeroom should be in the north-west corner of the main building. If grains and there is no other provisions are stored here, it is beneficial. There is never a shortage of grain or provisions. There is harm in having a mezzanine floor in the west and the south direction of the storeroom.

The storeroom should not have a door in the south-west direction. Door in any other direction according to need is alright. The height of the granary should not be more than that of the other rooms (The north-west corner should not be taller) The granary should have a window each on the east and the west sides. The door of the granary should have two shutters.

The External store should be preferably placed in the southwest corner of the plot. In case there are going to be separate godowns for the raw materiel and the finished products, the latter could be stored in a north west godown.

Northwest raw material godowns are ideal for finished products, as they are lighter than finished goods raw materials per unit volume usually. The north west location of the finished product godown also facilitates easy sales and movement of the goods outside.
