Security guard room can be in the South-East side in case of gate in the East; North-West side in case of gate in the North; South-West side in case of gate in the West; South-West side in case of gate in the South; but it should be away from the boundary.The Gurkha room for the sake of most efficiency should be placed near the gate.The Gurkha room should face only north or east.The room should not touch the compound walls in case of north or east walls. They can touch the south or west compound walls.Make sure that the corners of the building are not straight to the doors of the main factory.

The doors of the room should be in the exact northeast or other corners. Avoid putting toilets or washrooms if the Gurkha room is in a position unfavourable to it.Avoid building circular Gurkha rooms with conical roof. This type of ready-made fibre glass moulded security rooms are available. These cause terrible results, as observed in case studies.

SOUTH FACING PLOT The gate will be positioned in southeast facing south. The Gurkha room should be to the west of the gate and face north. The door of the Gurkha room should be in the east-facing northeast. The building can touch the south compound wall. Toilet is allowed if the building lies within the southeast zone of the plot only. Do not place the Gurkha room closing the south east corner.

NORTH FACING PLOT

The gate will be positioned in northeast facing north. The Gurkha room should be to the west of the gate and face east. The door of the Gurkha room should be in the east-facing northeast. The building cannot touch the north compound wall. No toilet should be attached to the Gurkha room.Make the room as small as possible. Closing of the north east corner is not allowed.

WEST FACING PLOT The gate will be positioned in northwest facing west.The Security room should be to the south of the gate and face north.The door of the Gurkha room should be in the north-facing northeast. The building can touch the west compound wall. Attached toilet is allowed. Do not place the Gurkha room closing the north west corner.
